MOSCOW, Mar 19 (PRIME) -- Russia’s inflation has reached its peak and may stay at current levels for a month or a month and a half, Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev told reporters Thursday.
“I would not say that we’ve passed the inflation peak, but we’ve reached the highest point. We are likely to stay in this range for some time,” he said, adding that annual inflation is very likely to remain at about 17% for one or two months.
According to the data of the Federal State Statistics Service, Russia’s consumer price index (CPI) remained flat on the week at 0.2% between March 11 and Monday and reached 6.7% since January 1, while annual inflation also remained flat at 16.7%.
